Pocket Change

My mom had this apron as a souvenir from a trip to "Bleu Lavande", the largest lavender field in Canada.

She loves to have pockets on her aprons, so she asked me if I could possibly sew a couple of pockets to this one.  I brought the apron to the fabric store and found a pretty lavender pin dot fabric that matched the apron binding.

Then I referred back to my own tutorial for patch pockets and sewed up a couple of pockets in no time flat.

Now Mom has a pretty, souvenir apron with two functional pockets.

Happy Cooking, Mom!

  3. What a great solution and a big improvement. I wouldn't like an apron w/o pockets. I seemed to have missed your post about the ring/arcs quilts. Your Christmas version is gorgeous as well as your friend's.
