My mom had this apron as a souvenir from a trip to "Bleu Lavande", the largest lavender field in Canada.
She loves to have pockets on her aprons, so she asked me if I could possibly sew a couple of pockets to this one. I brought the apron to the fabric store and found a pretty lavender pin dot fabric that matched the apron binding.
Then I referred back to my own tutorial for
patch pockets and sewed up a couple of pockets in no time flat.
Now Mom has a pretty, souvenir apron with two functional pockets.
Happy Cooking, Mom!

What a great solution and a big improvement. I wouldn't like an apron w/o pockets. I seemed to have missed your post about the ring/arcs quilts. Your Christmas version is gorgeous as well as your friend's.
ReplyDeleteI'm with your mom..I want pockets on everything! Blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteI think the apron looks better with the pockets! Great job on making them. They look perfect where you placed them.
