I'm enjoying a happy meeting of three items on my "to-do" list.
First, I've had this collection of red, white and blue Civil War reproduction fabrics just waiting to be cut into.
Secondly, I have been inspired to make a patriotic quilt after seeing some wonderful red/white/blue quilts being created by fellow blogger JoAnne at The Patriotic Quilter over the past month or so.
And thirdly, Pam Buda of Heartspun quilts is starting up another sew-along which I want to participate in.
I realized that I could accomplish all three if I did the sew-along with the red/white/blue fabrics, so today I started creating half square triangles. Here is what I have so far:
Hope you have a great Fourth of July!
Great idea! I'm working on my HSTs as well, but now that the Fourth is here, I can use other colors (my self-imposed 39 days of red, white, and blue quilts is over.) I bet I'm going to regret it, though, watching your project!
ReplyDeleteHappy Independence Day to you! May God give you many moments of joy today. :) blessings, marlene
